Ok! Because of my own experience, with my own 'incredible' cats, I've decided to start gathering some stories here of real cats, doing some incredible (or crazy) things.
Many who love cats, have heard of these stories below, and even in some cases seen the footage like cats having your back and tackling a bear!
Pint sized furry pistols they are....
We will hopefully expand and add with pics, more info and links and of course more amazing stories as we get time...but if not, some pawing at google will hopefully bring something up?
If you have anything to add to these stories, please send them to info@pawbreakers.com!
🐾 1. Scarlett: The Heroic Mother Cat

In 1996, a stray cat named Scarlett was found in Brooklyn, New York, rescuing her five kittens from a burning garage. Despite severe burns to her eyes, ears, and paws, Scarlett carried each kitten to safety, ensuring they were all accounted for before collapsing from exhaustion. She and her kittens were treated at the North Shore Animal League and later adopted. Scarlett's bravery led to the creation of the Scarlett Award for Animal Heroism in her honor. Wikipedia
🐾 2. Tigger: The Bear-Repelling Bengal
In 2022, Tigger, a Bengal cat from North Vancouver, made headlines when he confronted a black bear that had wandered into his owner's yard. Tigger arched his back and took a few steps toward the bear, which was enough to send the startled animal retreating. The encounter was captured on video and went viral, showcasing the cat's unexpected bravery. North Shore News+2Upi+2
🐾 3. Tara: The Child-Saving Tabby
In 2014, Tara, a tabby cat from Bakersfield, California, became a hero when she saved her 4-year-old human brother from a dog attack. The incident, captured on home surveillance footage, shows Tara charging at the attacking dog, causing it to flee. The video went viral, and Tara received numerous accolades, including the Cat Hero Award.
